Located in Deerfield, Illinois and owned and operated by well-known chef Freddy Sanchez, Taco Vida is already the talk of the town. Sanchez, a native of Guerrero, Mexico, came to Chicago at the age of 15. After graduating from the Washburne Culinary Institute in Chicago, Sanchez worked his way through many of the city’s great restaurants including Ed Debevic’s and Shaw’s Crab House.
